The Voice UK 2013 auditions begin filming in Manchester
The Voice UK 2013 auditions have begun filming in Manchester this week.
The BBC previously confirmed last month that Jessie J, Danny O’Donoghue, Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones will all be back on the panel next year.
Last year saw the blind auditions filmed at London’s TV centre, but this year they’ll be moving out of the capital.
Instead, the coaches and hopeful acts will be travelling north to perform for the panel at the BBC’s new MediaCityUK studios in Salford.
The official Voice UK twitter account confirmed this week: “This week, filming begins on #TheVoiceUK series 2. We’ll be tweeting from tomorrow so please clear your diaries and unfollow everybody else.”
They added yesterday: “So it’s Day 1 of filming. It’s like the first day back at school but with quadruple superstars instead of double geography. #TheVoiceUK”

Speaking about the new series, Sir Tom Jones said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing and working with Jessie, Will and Danny on the second series of The Voice. I’ve heard there will be some important changes that will make what is already a good, strong show even better.”
will.i.am said: “This season is gonna be doper than last year!!”
Meanwhile, Danny O’Donoghue teased some of the changes viewers can expect for series 2.
“There will be a lot of changes,” Danny explained. “For starters, there will be more blind auditions.
“And we are increasing the numbers on each team from 10 to 15 or 20.
“Live shows will be cut from six to just three and the results will be on the same night as far as I know.”
The Voice UK returns to BBC One in the new year.
