X-Men: Days Of Future Past casting update
Given the fact that X-Men films, by their very nature, tend to be ensemble pieces, it's no surprise that the casting news for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past just keeps on coming. Director Bryan Singer keeps confirming new names via his Twitter account, and two generations of on-screen X-Men are coming together for the new film.
So, who's the latest to be joining the likes of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Peter Dinklage in the new movie?
Well, first up, the rumours suggesting that Halle Berry would be returning to play Storm have now been confirmed. Berry herself, talking to Black Tree TV, confirmed that "yeah, I'm excited too", adding "the fans really love Storm, and so I'm really happy that it's worked out that way". How big a role Storm has in X-Men: Days Of Future Past isn't clear, but it's shaping up to be one big X-Men reunion.
The casting news isn't done either. Going back to Bryan Singer's Twitter again, the film's director also revealed that French actor Omar Sy has joined the movie's cast. Sy, best known for The Intouchables, will be taking on an thus-far undisclosed role.
