DAY ONE: STUDIO PRESENTING

HOW TV WORKS:

We give you a low-down on how TV really works - who to impress and how to get hired.

WHAT’S YOUR USP?:

No two presenters are the same. EVERYONE needs a USP (Unique Selling Point). The main aim of the two days is to find out and perfect, ‘What makes YOU different?’

AND... ACTION:

Giving you the maximum time in front of the camera you’ll learn how to: talk to camera; talk to time; ad-lib; read autocue; interview; present a double header; write scripts, and you’ll present a real script from a real TV show.

OVERNIGHT PREPARATION:

You’ll work on a short script for your very own programme idea to present the following day.

DAY TWO: LOCATION PRESENTING AND 'THE SCREEN TEST'

PRODUCTION MEETING:

We meet on location in central London for our ‘Production Meeting’ and talk through the TV show you’ll be hosting.

AND... ACTION:

You take to the streets presenting links, items and vox-pops to your own programme.

ONE-ON-ONE SCREENTEST:

In the studio you’ll have a one-on-one screentest, learning skills that could be the difference between you getting a job or not.
